Q: What are your operating hours?
A: The farm is open weekends from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and weekdays, by appointment.
Q: Does it snow at the farm?
A: Yes, on occasion we do get snow at Little Bear Tree Farm. In the event of snow, the Farm will remain open, but we advise driving a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
Q: Can I bring my dog with me to the farm?
A: We welcome friendly, leashed dogs. If your dog is aggressive, it's best left at home.
Q: Do I need to bring my own saw?
A: No, upon arrival each party will be provided with a saw before being taken to the cutting area. We kindly ask that you do not bring your own saw with you.
Q: What items should we bring to make the trip as enjoyable as possible?
A: The weather can vary depending upon where you are on the Farm. We suggest comfortable layers, as well as closed toe shoes or boots. Also, bringing straps or rope will make transporting your tree home a cinch. In a pinch, we do carry twine.
Q: How much are the trees?
A: Trees prices vary based upon the type of tree selected. Silver Tips (Red Fir) sell for $10.50 per foot, while White Fir and Cedar sell for $9.50 per foot. Other types of pre-cut trees will be priced as marked. Important Note: Only trees that are 5' or larger in size may be cut down. If you cut a smaller tree, you will be charged for a 5' tree. Tabletops (shorter trees) are available pre-cut next to the gift shop.
Q: Do you have any other items for sale, or just trees?
A: We also have fresh Wreaths and Swags for sale. For special orders, please contact the Farm at (530) 389-8989. In addition to these items, we have a gift shop that is chock-full of holiday ornaments, gifts, treats, and other specialty items.
Q: Is food available at the farm?
A: We do have a concession available inside the gift shop and always have a variety of fresh cookies, fudge, hot cocoa, coffee, and cider. Trust us, if you haven't had Donna's fudge before this is an absolute MUST TRY!
Q: What forms of payment do you take accept?
A: We accept cash, check, Visa and Mastercard. We do not accept American Express, or Debit Cards without a Visa or Mastercard logo.
